THE ROAD COURSE

2025 SPRING DATE COMING SOON

At Homestead-Miami Speedway athletes will swim in a spring fed lake inside the speedway, then bike on the road course which introduces some dynamics you may not be used to, then complete a run that winds its way through the oval and road courses and outside of the track through palm tree lined roads. All takes place under the spring sunshine that only Miami can deliver at CLASH Endurance Miami.

Admission and parking are completely FREE.
Want to make a weekend of it? Camp or bring your RV!

MIAMI FAQ

This race is cooler than Don Johnson listening to Prince on a sailboat, sipping some coconut water. Tell your friends.

So nice! Palm trees y'all.

The average high is 77F and the low 67F; however, be prepared for fluctuations.  For example, we had a record high at the event in 2022, well over 90F.  On occassion it can be windy - but that tailwind coming down the backstretch can be fun.

The most convenient airport is Miami International Airport which is about 30 minutes from the Speedway.  The Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport is also an option and is 1 Hour from the Speedway.

Scroll up! We have several partner hotels, RV and camping options.

The most important question in triathlon. Expect mid 70s.

The lake is inside the speedway and spring fed with a deep hole connected directly to the Florida aquifer. Florida spring water typically hovers around 72F. The surface water warms up with sunshine and can hover in the 74-80F depending on air temperature and wind speed. For this reason, we will not be able to make a determination on wetsuits until race morning. For historical reference, it was a non-wetsuit swim in 2023.

USAT Rules state wetsuits are allowed for age groupers if water temperature is under 78.1F. Age groupers can wear a wetsuit from 78.1-84 deg. , but they are not eligible for awards.

All our swim starts are rolling starts. We emphasize safety and have one of the most qualified and experienced water safety teams in the sport.

Snorkels are not permissible under USA Triathlon Competitive Rules. However, any athlete who wishes to use a snorkel may do so ONLY IF they notify race staff prior to event week. They will start in the last swim wave and NOT be eligible for awards.

If you're a fan of 'The Count' from Sesame Street, you'll do fine. But just in case, it is only 2 laps

Bike Course

On the Miami Distance bike course, you’ll have two opportunities to receive aid. The on-course nutrition will include:

  • Water
  • Bananas
  • Energy Gels
  • Electrolyte drink

*There is no Bike Aid Station for the Sprint Distance.

Run Course

On the run course for all events, you’ll find aid stations approximately every mile.  The on-course nutrition will include:

  • Water
  • Bananas *Miami Distance only
  • Coke
  • Energy gels *Miami Distance only
  • Electrolyte drink

These can also be found in the athlete guide. Kids Triathlon does not have a course cut off but everyone will be required to start on time.

Miami Distance Triathlon / Duathlon / Relay

  • Swim Cut-off 1hr after the last swimmer enters the water.
  • Miami Distance Bike Finish: 3hr 30 min total time from last swimmer starting.  Total time = swim + bike time
  • 10:00am Must start lap #2 of the bike (15mi)
  • 11:00am Must reach finish bike portion (30mi)
  • Bike has a cut-off due to DOT permits for road closures off property.
  • On the run, all athletes will run on Homestead Miami Speedway property thus no firm run cut-off.

Sprint Distance Triathlon / Duathlon / Relay

  • Swim Cut-off 45 minutes after the last swimmer enters the water.
  •  The run course is contained on Homestead-Miami Speedway Property and hence does not have a firm cut-off*.

*CLASH Endurance staff reserve the right to remove any athlete from the course.  This includes removing athletes if it is not possible to complete the discipline in the allotted time.  Athletes may also be removed from the course if CLASH Endurance staff determine it is no longer safe for the athlete to continue.

Sure. The Clash Miami lake is a spring fed lake with a deep hole connected directly to the Florida aquifer. For this reason, the water is pristine. It is shaped like a large rectangle and has a nice sandy beach entrance into the water.

Well done! You can find race results on our website here – Miami Race Results.
